It has been two weeks since search for a new head coach of Michigan Tech hockey began. Over those weeks Tech Hockey Guide has profiled 16 potential candidates for the opening left by Mel Pearson's departure to Michigan.
It has now been two weeks since the University of Michigan formally introduced Mel Pearson as their new head coach. That same day WCHA meetings began in Florida followed later that week with the AHCA meetings. It likely was a great opportunity for Michigan Tech Athletic Director, Suzanne Sanregret to chat with some potential candidates in a low key environment and gauge interest from assistants and head coaches throughout the country.
The Tech Hockey Guide staff brainstormed potential candidates and settled on our top picks. Through the next few weeks we will break down potential candidates while discussing pedigree as a player and coach as well as likelihood of being Coach Pearson’s replacement.
