The No. 18-ranked Huskies play No. 2 Notre Dame in the East Region Semifinal at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The winner will advance to play Providence or Clarkson for the East Regional Championship and a spot in the Frozen Four in St. Paul. If you’re not able to be in Bridgeport, but want to watch with other MTU hockey fans, we’ve stepped to host or found Alumni Chapter watch parties in multiple locations. Tech Hockey Guide is officially hosting two watch parties, and so far we know of four seven other watch parties in Oregon, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan:

Portland, Oregon – Pour Sports

THG publisher Brandon Maurisak and the Portland Alumni Chapter have setup a watch party starting at 12:00 PM PDT at Pour Sports in the Central Eastside of Portland (832 Southeast Grand Avenue). Come take a long lunch with THG and fellow alumni and friends to cheer on your Huskies.

Minneapolis/St. Paul – Cowboy Jacks, New Brighton

THG writer Tim Braun and the Twin Cities Alumni Chapter have setup a watch party starting at 1:30 PM CDT at Cowboy Jacks in New Brighton off Silver Lake Road near the 694/35W interchange (2397 Palmer Drive). We’re hoping to line up some special guests yet, but it’s unlikely we’ll get confirmation until gameday with this being during the work day. Regardless, come join us as we root on the Huskies from a private party room at Cowboy Jacks. Happy Hour starts at 3:00 PM and includes $2 rail/call drinks, $2 select tap/bottled beer, $4 hour wines, and 1/2 off select appetizers & flatbreads.

Appleton, Wisconsin – Appleton Beer Factory

The Fox Valley Alumni Chapter has setup a watch party starting at 2:00 PM CDT at Appleton Beer Factory in downtown Appleton (603 West College Avenue). The Alumni owned establishment is offering a free pickled egg with your first beer. Enjoy some good beer, support an alumni owned business and cheer on your Huskies with other alums and friends!

Traverse City, Michigan – State Street Grille

The Northwest Michigan Alumni Chapter has setup a watch party starting at 3:00 PM EDT at State Street Grille in downtown Traverse City (221 East State Street). Join your fellow alumni and friends for a Husky Hockey game watch.

Grand Rapids, Michigan – Schmohz Brewing Company

The West Michigan Alumni Chapter has setup a watch party starting at 3:00 PM EDT at Schmotz Brewing Company near Patterson Ice Center (2600 Patterson Avenue SE). Join your fellow alumni and friends for a Husky Hockey game watch.

Houghton, Michigan – John MacInnes Student Ice Arena

Last but not least, we have a watch party at John MacInnes Student Ice Arena. After over 700 folks watched the Huskies defeated NMU at the arena last Saturday, Michigan Tech Athletics is hosting another watch party at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena for the NCAA hockey regional this weekend. The Huskies play Notre Dame at 3 p.m. Friday. Doors will open at 2:45 p.m. with free admission. The first 500 fans will receive free hot dogs and pop courtesy of Vollwerth’s. The Ojibwa Breakaway Zone will also be open on the concourse. Saturday’s East Regional Championship will start at 6 p.m. Doors will open for a watch party at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena at 5:45 p.m. with the first 500 fans again receiving free hot dogs and pop.

3/21 17:00 – Detroit, Michigan – HopCat

Two alumni in the Detroit area took it upon themselves to create a gathering at HopCat located in a historic building in Midtown just South of the campus of Wayne State University (4265 Woodward Avenue). Join Maggie and Haley in cheering on the Huskies if you’re in the Detroit area.

3/21 23:30 – Ann Arbor, Michigan – The Sports Bar Westside

Some alumni stated there would be a gathering at The Sports Bar Westside (5510 Jackson Road) on facebook in the Michigan Tech Alumni Network. The family and alumni are meeting in the back room. Jackson Rd and Zeeb right off I-94.

3/21 23:45 – Green Bay, Wisconsin – The Bar Westside

Green Bay Area Alumni and fans can plan to meet at The Bar West on Holmgren Way (2001 Holmgren Way). The Bar can accommodate a large group in a private back area. Puck drop at 2:00 PM. GO TECH!!

3/23 11:00 – Auburn, Michigan – O’s Pub & Grill

Join the Tri-Cities Chapter for a watch party at O’s Pub & Grill located not far from US-10 between Midland and Bay City (123 East Midland Road). It’s not far from Saginaw either so come join other MTU Hockey fans in the Tri-Cities area.

Pregame Event in Bridgeport – Limerick Pub (Inside Webster Bank Arena)

Join your fellow Husky Hockey fans for a pregame social with Blizzard T. Husky, and members of the Pep Band and Mitch’s Misfits. The event starts at 1:00 PM in the Webster Bank Arena Limerick Pub located on the main concourse near the main doors, Complimentary Appetizers, soda and water will be available. Please note that since this bar is located inside the arena, no alcohol will be available as per NCAA regulations.

NCAA Hockey Regionals – General Information

There will be 12 games this weekend starting with the Huskies’ game vs Notre Dame at 3:00PM Eastern and ending with the “Midwest” Regional Final on Sunday night. If you want to watch other games this weekend, all of this weekend’s games will be on the ESPN family of networks including ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNews or via the WatchESPN app. Below is a schedule broken out by day and network to help you figure out where to watch each game this weekend, if you’re interested. Michigan Tech’s first round game versus Notre Dame will be broadcast on ESPN2 with puck drop. The East Regional Championship game will be at 6:00 PM Eastern on ESPNU.
