The results are in for the week, and there’s only one team that made a major move: Alaska jumped from 9th to 7th as they swept Alaska-Anchorage on the weekend at a combined score of 10-4.

Bemidji’s ranking was far less spread out this week. I mentioned in last week’s analysis that they had quite a spread, coming in as high as 4th and as low as 10th. This week, they only covered a range from 7th to 9th. They dropped 8 points since last week but that can largely be attributed to making room for Alaska in the #7 spot on the table.

We can also figure out just from the table that at least one voter had their top three as Bowling Green, Michigan Tech then Minnesota State. It’s hard to say why a voter has the Huskies ranked higher than the Mavericks. The Mavericks have 4 more league points and 4 games in hand over the Huskies. Recent schedules don’t say much either, as Tech has had worse performance over their last few series, and has generally played weaker teams.

  1. Regardless of how the poll came out, I think Alaska is a better team than Huntsville. Hopefully time will show me right.
