This week’s poll changed little from last week, but the only change did happen at the top. Minnesota resumed it’s place at the top of this week’s poll after they took three points from Minnesota Duluth. Colorado College managed to split their series with last week’s top team, St. Cloud State. North Dakota and Denver split a series in Denver over the weekend. Those were the only WCHA series but the biggest surprise happen last night after most of the pollsters had voted. Wisconsin was defeated in overtime by Penn State in the Nittany Lions’ first trip to the Kohl Center. Next weekend, ten of the twelve WCHA teams will be in action and St. Cloud State will have a chance to earn a share of the McNaughton Cup this weekend in what could be the last meeting between SCSU and Michigan Tech as WCHA foes.
