Another week and more change in the WCHA Web Media Poll. Denver remains number one this week but three other teams received first place votes. Minnesota, the preseason number one, did not receive any 1st place votes this week after splitting a series with Minnesota State. St. Cloud State trades places with Minnesota for 2nd place after handing Denver its first loss of the season. Colorado College received one 1st place vote this week but remains 5th in the poll. Nebraska–Omaha earned the biggest jump, moving from 10th up to 6th after sweeping Michigan Tech in Houghton. The biggest drop belongs to Wisconsin after their poor performance at home against the Tigers – the Badgers fell to 11th. There is still much uncertainty in the poll, as four teams received 1st place votes and three teams received last place votes. Most teams have a voting spread of at least four places. Eighth through 11th place was separated by only 7 points.
